Why Coaching?

Being a new counselor or the only counselor at a school can be overwhelming or even scary. I can recall feeling so excited to be in the counseling field, but feeling so alone and questioning whether I knew what I was doing. I had no one to bounce ideas off of and people did not know what my role was in the school. I was called all kinds of titles and staff would constantly ask me to do things that were not my role.

By tapping into my creativity and strengths, I was able to grow into a confident and accessible counselor, who was able to set boundaries with staff and prioritize student need.

I can help you with identifying your strengths, building confidence, strategizing best practices for your role and developing a personalized self-care plan.
